Modern Metal Designs makes grilles and panels but some of the clever designers, out there, are coming up with other interesting uses for Annie's designs. In this case they used it for a headboard application. Also this would be good for residential as well as hospitality projects. Other uses have been for stair rails and raised floor applications. If you can think it up we can probably figure out how to do it. Reach out to daniel.tillman@c3design.info if you have one of those cool ideas.
Jill Malek | Dwellings
The Dwellings Collection, a new collection of textured wallcoverings, is inspired by the organic structures of animal dwellings. Scaled to custom fit a space, the patterns are printed on durable materials that can withstand heavy traffic, and are available with optional dimensional felt accents, sewn by hand. All materials used are commercial-grade and suitable for both high-end residential and commercial interiors.

The Strand
After posting a plea for help, the Strand bookstore receives 25,000 online orders.
Local bookstores have seen better days. According to recent data from the American Booksellers Association, more than one independent bookstore has closed every week since the pandemic began. And after Nancy Bass Wyden, the owner of the Strand Bookstore in Manhattan, crunched her September sales numbers and realized sales were down a staggering 70 percent compared to 2019, she feared the New York institution may suffer a similar fate. Wyden posted a call for help on Instagram this past Friday, and loyal readers turned out: The store received a record 25,000 online orders within 48 hours.

Narbutas | Silent Room
Every open office needs a place to focus on individual tasks, phone calls or private meetings, yet do not miss important activities in the office and see what’s happening around. We present to you a new edition of SILENT ROOM! It will be valued by those who want both, more transparency and to maintain privacy.
More natural light
Glass inserts let more daylight into the new SILENT ROOM acoustic pod and also do not cover work areas behind it. So, this model can be fitted in the open-plan offices, near glass partitions or even windows. Natural light in the office space improves productivity, boosts health and mood.
Additional Electrical Solutions
Media wall in the SILENT ROOM acoustic pods has the AC power socket. From now you can also choose a new power socket block, available with different combinations of integrated sockets, LAN ports or USB connectors.
Fits perfectly into different office spaces
Choose SILENT ROOM acoustic pods to create functional work areas by dividing or opening interior spaces as necessary. This piece of furniture can be set up in the middle of the office space, near the walls or partitions or inside a wall niche maintaining a clearance of just 30 cm at the top for air circulation. In this way, SILENT ROOM will blend even more easily into the office space.

C3 Contract
Deep in the throes of Covid I've noticed a kind of splintering of the collections that I represent. Collections shift and change and I think it's time to separate a little. I will be pursuing two avenues of business going forward. I feel that high-end residential design will be a growing segment due to Covid. People are spending more time at home and many are actively moving out of the urban centers and those new homes will need designing. I also think that, due to Covid, commercial interiors will be addressing new needs and requirements. With that, I am launching C3 Contract and will be representing products and designs that assist the commercial side of the market. C3 Design will be the repository of the artisan designs and C3 Contract will be for the commercial side of design.

Announcement:
Recent addition to C3 Design LLC is a wonderful artist from Chicago. Bozena Kapcia creates beautiful, bespoke wallcoverings working with plaster on wallpaper as well as canvas. With more than 20 years experience working on large & small scale installations as a faux finisher and designing her own wallpaper line, she is always looking for innovative techniques to create new concepts in wall decor.
Canvas is the newest line I created, and can be installed at small or large scale, up to 10′ x 15′ panels. This sturdy medium creates a layered depth in the finishes along with an enigmatic, attractive leather-like feel.

Managing Client Expectations During a Crisis
This month's workshop will focus on how to manage client expectations during a crisis: Maintaining transparency and communication without speculation, resiliency facing delays and market changes outside of one's control, and protecting and future-proofing your interests. Modern Metal Designs: Baritone Finish
Brass is hot right now, but it can be pricey. Modern Metal offers a new collection of brass powder coat colors. We call it Brass-ish. These brass finishes offer a high style look at a friendly price point. We are huge fans of this powder coat option - it is durable, retains color & gloss, and even has UV stability.
